The Annie Hirsch Award is one of the most distinguished annual honors presented to a West Coast Swing competitor. The award recognizes the competitor who earns the highest number of Registry Points in skill-level contests during the annual qualification period of October through September.
Established to honor excellence, consistency, and achievement throughout the competitive year, the Annie Hirsch Award celebrates the competitor whose performance has distinguished them among their peers and demonstrated an exceptional level of competitive accomplishment.
The Annie Hirsch Award includes:
- $2,000 cash prize
- Weekend event pass to The Open World Swing Dance Championships (where the award is presented)
- A beautiful, custom glass award commemorating the achievement
- Recognition as the annual Annie Hirsch Award recipient.
