Call for Nominations

WSDC Swing Dance Hall of Fame Nominations

The World Swing Dance Council invites its Members, existing Inductees, At-large Electors and Board members to submit nominations for the Swing Dance Hall of Fame. The nominations will be tabulated to determine the candidates for the final voting process.

Nominees should be dancers or contributors whose long-term work has made a meaningful impact on swing dancing and the swing dance community. When making your nominations, please consider people who meet the Hall of Fame criteria below.

Nomination criteria

• Significant contribution to the growth of swing dancing and to the public perception of the dance through dancing, competing, teaching, judging, educating, promoting, organizing, or related work.
• Outstanding service and leadership in the swing dance community, locally, nationally, or internationally.
• A demonstrated record of personal ethics, sportsmanship, integrity, and positive influence within the community.
• A long-standing connection to the swing dance community, generally a minimum of twenty (20) years, and nominees should be at least forty (40) years of age.

How to submit your nominations

1. Sign in with your DanceApp account using the authentication button below.
2. Enter up to ten nominees you believe meet the Hall of Fame criteria.
3. Submit your nominations. All nominations will be reviewed and verified as part of the Hall of Fame process.

Confidentiality: Nomination responses are handled confidentially. The WSDC may verify a nominee’s dance accomplishments, service, leadership, and length of involvement in the swing dance community. Please also consider historical swing dancers and long-time contributors who may deserve recognition.
